Mae’s Mutts is dedicated to rescuing and placing dogs in need in loving forever homes. We are a 100% volunteer-based organization. Our fosters open up their hearts, homes, and families to our rescue pups - they provide them with a safe place to land while we find their "furever" homes!

Mae’s Mutts is a 501(c)3 nonprofit established in Richmond, Virginia. Our life-saving mission includes promoting responsible pet ownership and creating a compassionate community of animal lovers that value and respect the people and pets around them.

Mae’s Mutts is named after two important individuals in our president and founder’s life: her grandmother, Billie Mae, and her first rescue pup, Mae (named in her grandmother's honor). Through our rescue and advocacy, their legacies live on.
